Philippians: Joyfully Pressing On
The book of Philippians was penned by Paul during a season of imprisonment and uncertainty – but despite facing numerous challenges, Paul’s words echo with resilience, gratitude, and an unwavering confidence in the surpassing joy found in Christ. As we navigate this book together, we will explore themes that resonate deeply with the human experience – themes of unity, humility, contentment, and the surpassing peace that comes from a vibrant relationship with Christ. Paul’s heartfelt expressions of love for the Philippian church and his unwavering commitment to the gospel will offer us a roadmap for navigating the challenges of our own lives as well. Then, may these truths strengthen our faith, deepen our relationships, and equip us to face the trials of life with a joy that emanates from the source of all joy – our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
If I Perish, I Perish
Jesus Christ made it possible for us to be in this world but not of this world. In fact, God has sovereignly placed us in certain positions and times so that His purpose would be fulfilled. Knowing this, let’s make every effort to bring glory to Him as we courageously echo the words of Esther who said, “If I perish, I perish.”
